Jean Richard Minardi — known as “JR” — is the restless engine behind Crus Yacht​

After 15 years working with major international boat brands in Geneva, he chose independence in every sense: politically, financially, and professionally. In 2004 he founded H2O Sensations, importing and distributing the most innovative catamarans, dinghies, and sailing equipment he could find — and when something didn’t exist, he created it.​

That’s how Roots Fittings was born in 2020, a company dedicated to designing and producing high-end rigging hardware.​

A world-class multihull sailor, Jean Richard has raced across the globe with remarkable
results. Below 20 knots, he simply gets bored.​
